Meet Richard Thripp, Candidate for Congress in Florida’s 6th district, at Democratic Student Voter Drive at Daytona State College on 2/18/2020 at 12–2 PM

Hi everyone! I have not updated DaytonaState.org in years.

I’ve come a long way from my days as a crazy, uninformed, trouble-making student who registered the domain name daytonastate.org as a larf nearly 12 years ago when Daytona Beach Community College (dbcc.edu) became Daytona Beach College (dbc.edu) and then Daytona State College (daytonastate.edu).

I have completed my Education Ph.D. at University of Central Florida and am running for Congress. Please meet me at this event, or visit my website at Thripp.com.

Democratic Student Voter Drive at Daytona State College

I’ll be at this event to register voters by the DSC Students for the Democratic Party club at the Daytona State College main campus on Tuesday, 2/18/2020 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.

I believe this will be at the fancy new L. Gale Lemerand Student Center but will update later to confirm. The address is 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114, Building 110.

Parking is free but the campus can be busy so you might have to park near White St. and the UCF building. Parking permits are not enforced.

Details from the DSC Students for the Democratic Party Club President, Clifton Roby:

I represent the DSC Students for the Democratic Party as president of a up and coming student led organization. We are hosting a voter registration event on February 18th from 12p-2p on the Daytona campus. I will have representatives from the North Volusia Democrats, Young Democrats, Students for Bernie, we are actively forming a GSA here as well who will be in attendance, and hopefully the Volusia County Black Caucus. We would love to have your presence as well host a table so that you can make yourselves known to our student body. There will be free food and drink available to students to draw them to our area. This sole purpose of this event is to increase voter registration from students which we hope will encourage students to vote in all elections.

Thanks,
Richard Thripp, Ph.D.
Democratic Candidate for U.S. Congress (FL-06)
Adjunct Faculty, University of Central Florida
